YOW RAW CONTEST VOL.3
The YOW Raw Contest is a worldwide surfskate championship run entirely through Instagram. It intends to be a celebration of the sport and an opportunity for the best surfskaters in the world to show what they are capable of, earn money doing it and have some fun on the way.
The third edition of the YOW Raw Contest will be held from the 26th of September till the 2nd of October and open to people from all over the world and all ages starting from 6 yo (parental consent will be mandatory for under 18 participants).
Submit your best raw rounds and/or tricks by
posting them on your Instagram feed or reels using the hashtag #YOWRAWCONTEST3 and tagging us @yowsurf
You can submit up to 5 rounds and/or tricks.
Raw clips only. Edited videos won´t count as eligible. Original audio only.
Your Instagram profile must be public.
The contest starts the 26th of September at 00:01am CET and finishes the 2nd of October at 11:59pm.

You can submit up to 5 rounds and/or tricks between five seconds and one minute length each, by uploading them to your Instagram profile FEED or REELS (with original footage that has not been previously published in another competition) using the hashtag #YOWRAWCONTEST3 and tagging @yowsurf

All participants MUST have a public Instagram account.
Entrants must submit original content or must have all the rights necessary to post or re-post the content.
Participants must ride a SURFSKATE system. Entrants using standard skateboarding trucks, reversed kingpin trucks, waveboards, streetboards, freeboards, mountainboards or any other kind of board not considered as a surfskate won´t be eligible.
Submissions advertising any name, product or services from any other company or entity other than YOW surf won´t count as eligible.
Under 14 entrants MUST use helmet and/ or protections and send parental consent if chosen as finalists.
WOMEN, MEN AND SUB10/14 OVERALL
Winners will be selected based on the commitment and degree of difficulty, creativity, variety of maneuvers, technicality, speed, power, style, flow and similarity with surfing of the 5 rounds submitted. The judges want to see at least one video recorded in a street spot where speed, style and flow are well portrayed.
BEST STYLE
Winner will be chosen based on her/his clean, genuine, and unique style.
BEST TRICK
Winner will be chosen based on the creativity, uniqueness, commitment, cleanness, and technicality of the trick.
BEST WIPEOUT
Winner will be chosen based on the commitment and fun factor of the fall.
BEST SHARED WAVE
Winners will be chosen based on the creativity, synchronicity, commitment, variety of tricks, similarity to surfing and skills shown in the round.
BEST FILMER
Winner will be chosen based on the technically of the shot.
BEST SPOT
Winner will be chosen based on the uniqueness of the spot and creativity of the round.
BEST CLASSIC LONGBOARD ROUND
Winner will be chosen based on the skills, creativity, speed, style, flow, dynamism of the round and similarity with longboard surfing. The used board will have to use a surfskate system and length over 38”.
